Accreditation

Overview

Verden Forensics operates under ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation for selected forensic activities in the UK, as assessed by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS). This accreditation provides assurance that our forensic analysis is conducted to recognised standards of quality, competence, and impartiality, supporting its use within criminal, civil and family proceedings.

Our laboratory is accredited by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) to the international standard ISO/IEC 17025 for specific testing activities.

ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation demonstrates that a laboratory operates a robust quality management system and has the technical competence to perform defined tests and measurements.

Our accreditation confirms that our procedures, equipment, staff competence and reporting processes have been independently assessed by UKAS.

UKAS Accreditation Number: 21522

The full scope of our accredited activities can be viewed in our official UKAS Schedule of Accreditation:

For forensic activities, our laboratory operates in accordance with the Forensic Science Regulator Codes of Practice and Conduct.

These codes establish the quality standards required for forensic science used within the criminal justice system in England and Wales.

Our quality management system ensures that relevant forensic activities are conducted in accordance with these requirements.
